Moga currently supports bluetooth HID mode on their moga pro. If you try an ouya controller, or a madcatz, or a gamestop controller, they wont work. Games like ravensword and shiny are being forced to adopt moga's protocol because their cheapest controller only supports the proprietary connection. No functionality is lost when you go on Standards mode. Thing is, moga currently makes an Open controller, the Moga Pro. What you expect it to work with all tablets?!? Your complaint holds no water. The current alternatives are the the GameStop Red Samurai and The MadCatz C.T.R.L^r gamepad, both of which stick to the Bluetooth HID gamepad standard without any loss in functionallity. I propose a full on boycott / blogger war on Moga. Let's face it, they are doing it to stamp out competition.
The only benefit of the Moga Enhanced API is Gingerbread support, which no one who buys those controllers uses. This is a departure from the Moga Pro which supports the Bluetooth HID standard in Mode B. Moga is choosing to take total control of the market by making all their controllers require the Moga Enhanced API, which does not work with any other controller. goes 100% proprietary - Android Apps and Games
